Ingredients
- 4 slices deli salami or mortadella (or sliced chicken breast, turkey, or ham)
- 3 slices white sandwich bread
- 1 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 medium tomato, sliced
- 2 slices American cheese
- 2–3 lettuce leaves
- Optional: boiled egg, sliced cucumber, onion, or carrot for extra crunch
Instructions
- Toast the bread slices until golden and slightly crisp.
- Spread mayonnaise on one slice of toasted bread.
- Layer a slice of salami (or chosen meat), a tomato slice, and a cheese slice atop the mayo.
- Add another slice of toasted bread, then again layer with meat and a lettuce leaf.
- Top with the final slice of bread, repeating the meat and veggie layers if desired.
- Slice the sandwich into quarters or halves and secure with a wooden toothpick.
- Serve immediately with a side of crispy French fries or a simple side salad.
